At Cheetah Plains, we are deeply committed to meaningful community engagement. We proudly support the Lezagwa Crèche initiative, having funded the construction and furnishing of its facilities, which care for children aged six months to five years. Guests are warmly invited to visit, please speak to your host to arrange a time. Contributions towards this important cause are most welcome and directly support early childhood development and education in our neighbouring communities.
Solar-Powered Safaris
Cheetah Plains is a pioneer of the eco-safari experience in the Sabi Sand, setting new standards in sustainable luxury. All guest accommodation, our Private Villas and Bush Suites, operate entirely off-grid, powered by a reliable and renewable solar energy system.
Game drives are conducted in our industry-leading Electric Land Cruisers, which are charged using solar power and operate with advanced Tesla battery technology. This silent, zero-emission safari experience allows for an even deeper connection with the natural world.

Water Conservation
In our ongoing commitment to sustainability, towels will only be refreshed if placed in the laundry basket or left on the floor. Hot water is supplied via an energy-efficient solar geyser with an electric backup element to ensure your comfort. Water is a precious resource in our region, and we kindly ask that you use it mindfully during your stay.
Drinking Water
Our tap water is sourced from a filtered borehole and is perfectly safe to drink. We encourage you to refill your Cheetah Plains water bottle throughout your stay as part of our sustainable ethos. For your convenience, still and sparkling bottled water is also provided daily in your suite.
Smoking Policy
For your safety and comfort, smoking is not permitted inside the suites or main villa. Smoke detectors are installed throughout the property and will activate upon detecting any smoke. Ashtrays are available upon request from your host. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the game drive vehicles; should you wish to smoke, please ask your guide to stop in a suitable area. We kindly ask that cigarette butts be disposed of responsibly to prevent fire risks and protect the pristine environment.
Sensitive Septic System
Please refrain from disposing of any foreign objects in the toilet, as we utilise a delicate natural septic tank system. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
